Birthday Verses :)

Hello World!

I just turned 24 today! Yay! The Lord our God is so giving, He blessed me with another year!
Also, this is my very first blog and my very first time blogging, so please bear with your amateur
fellow-ette :]p (feel free to hand me some tips!)

The whole purpose of my blogging is to share with y'all Bible verses/scriptures/passages, and what God puts in my heart to say about them. I strongly feel that I should tell you about my relationship with God, and reach out to you. Why keep a special relationship disclosed, especially if it's with our Wonderful Maker? Agree? Also! Please feel free to post any Bible verses/scriptures/passages/
prayer requests and even testimonials!!

Today, a friend of mine confided in me that she has been backsliding. She told me that she wanted to get back to God, and grow closer to Him. She's a struggling 21 year old single parent. She did not understood why she was going through so many hardships. All she wanted, was to get back to God, but did not know how. I told her "never stop going to church, go to Bible Study, prayer meetings, surround yourself with God fearing people, shut yourself from the world, give all your time and self to God, read, read, read, read the Bible and pray!" If you want Jesus in your life. If you want to come back to Him. If you want to grow closer to Him, all you have to do is keep asking, keep seeking, and keep knocking. Shut yourself from this evil world, pray pray pray pray, read read read and spend all your time with God. When you are driving to work, school, etc, turn the radio off, and talk to God. He is there. He is waiting and very much willing to listen to you. When you are at home, turn the T.V. off, get off the internet, go to your favorite quiet space, and read and pray and read and pray. Remove yourself from anything and everything that will hinder you from praising and worshiping Him. That's what it means to search for Him with all your heart and soul. You are willing to give up yourself. You are willing to sacrifice every single moment for Him.
He gave you blessings-small and big. He gave you what you prayed for. All He wants back is YOUR whole being, YOUR whole undivided attention, YOU!

Practice what you preach. So self-explanatory. Do not be hypocritical and judgmental towards others, be it neighbors, loved ones or enemies. Do not preach them the Word and not follow it. You are not only fooling yourselves, but those around you! How else are you going to grow closer and deeper with our Lord, if you cannot even heed His Word. How else are you going to reach out to those who needs saving, hope and faith? Why call yourself a follower of Christ, if you cannot follow His commands. It is one thing to believe in Him, but it is another thing to follow Him.
I pray that I may not be hypocritical myself while I write this. No one said that being a follower of Christ will be easy. Jesus even said Himself that this walk will not be easy, but in order to run this race with perseverance, you MUST believe, you MUST have faith and you MUST obey.
You pray and ask God to test you, or ask for blessings. He gives it to you. It's right in front of you, but you miss it, because you could not even do one command.
Let us all pray that we may not be hypocritical or judgmental. Let us pray and ask God to give us His strength to obey His Word.
